Our Kakadu Tours are an adventure camping tour, these are operated in conjunction with Territory Expeditions and Adventure Tours Australia.

This tour is for active people with a thirst for adventure. We stay in tents and travel on unsealed roads and 4WD tracks.

The trip involves long and challenging walks in remote regions with limited communication & emergency services access.

  • Warning:PPlease note we are Kakadu Adventure Tours, not Kakadu comfortable, take it easy, sightseeing tours. Our tours are focused on adventure. This includes 4WD vehicles on rough and rugged dirt tracks, longer hikes and swims. You will get dirty and be challenged. This is not a luxury bus tour. Your accommodation is camping in a permanent safari tent with the option to sleep in a swag. The only stars are in the sky.

We Begin our tour with a bang travelling to Corrobboree Billabong for a Wetland cruise to spot crocs and some of the local birdlife. Pause and relish the scenic beauty along the tidal East Alligator River with the opportunity to spot some more crocs and flying foxes! Next up, we’ll venture to the renowned Ubirr located in the northern part of the park. This iconic site boasts some of the finest examples of rock art from Northern Australia. Your guide will provide insights into the art’s significance and the stories behind these unique paintings. A challenging climb to the summit reveals breathtaking 360º views that stretch across the Nardab floodplains and into the captivating landscapes of Arnhem Land. Tonight, we camp at our exclusive safari camp at Mardukal Billabong in the heart of Kakadu. Enjoy sitting around an open campfire, savoring a cool beverage, or a toasted marshmallow. Getting into the swing of outback life we begin our day at Maguk (Barramundi Gorge). A 1km hike through a paperbark forest with some rock scrambling leads to the plunge pool for a cool swim in a pristine environment. Then onto Gunlom falls in the southern end of Kakadu where the panoramic views from the naturally occuring infinity pools provide an epic photo opportunity. The beach and bottom plunge pool provide an excellent location for some afternoon relaxation. If this day doesn’t seem jam packed enough already we then have the unique experience of a short hike and swim at Ikoymarrwa (Moline Rockhole) a special permit area with very few visitors.Finishing this incredible day with a camp at Mary River Roadhouse on the Kakadu border. Finishing off our 3 day tour with a visit to the stunning Litchfield national park, Learn about the intriguing Cathedral and Magnetic mounds that are prolific in this region. Visiting some of the locals favourite spots for hiking and swimming we will stop in at Buley Rockhole’s, Florence Falls and Wangi Falls. Finally returning exhausted to Darwin approximately 5.30pm Fitness: 2 kms Meals: Breakfast & lunch
