Our Kakadu Tours are an adventure camping tour, these are operated in conjunction with Territory Expeditions and Adventure Tours Australia.

This tour is for active people with a thirst for adventure. We stay in tents and travel on unsealed roads and 4WD tracks.

The trip involves long and challenging walks in remote regions with limited communication & emergency services access.

  • Warning:PPlease note we are Kakadu Adventure Tours, not Kakadu comfortable, take it easy, sightseeing tours. Our tours are focused on adventure. This includes 4WD vehicles on rough and rugged dirt tracks, longer hikes and swims. You will get dirty and be challenged. This is not a luxury bus tour. Your accommodation is camping in a permanent safari tent with the option to sleep in a swag. The only stars are in the sky.

We Begin our tour with a bang travelling to Corrobboree Billabong for a Wetland cruise to spot crocs and some of the local birdlife. Pause and relish the scenic beauty along the tidal East Alligator River with the opportunity to spot some more crocs and flying foxes! Next up, we’ll venture to the renowned Ubirr located in the northern part of the park. This iconic site boasts some of the finest examples of rock art from Northern Australia. Your guide will provide insights into the art’s significance and the stories behind these unique paintings. A challenging climb to the summit reveals breathtaking 360º views that stretch across the Nardab floodplains and into the captivating landscapes of Arnhem Land. Tonight, we camp at our exclusive safari camp at Mardukal Billabong in the heart of Kakadu. Enjoy sitting around an open campfire, savoring a cool beverage, or a toasted marshmallow. After breakfast we embark on an exciting 4 Wheel drive journey to reach Jim Jim Falls. A leisurely 1 km walk through the gorge, enveloped by towering 200m high sandstone cliffs, unveils a refreshing plunge pool. Here, you can indulge in a well-deserved swim or opt to unwind on the beach, all while soaking in the awe-inspiring and breathtaking views. After lunch its time to imerse yourself in the regions culture as we head to Burrungkuy (Nourlangie Rock), here we learn about the dreamtime stories and the rock art of this region and its special significance to the traditional owners of this land. For those looking to dive further into the rich culture, the Warradjan cultural centre is a great opportunity to gain some insight into the traditional owners of Kakadu through interactive displays and demonstrations. Finishing this jampacked day off with a hike up to Gunwhardewharde lookout providing spectacular views across the woodlands to the impressive Arnhem Land escarpment, whilst taking in the vista of Burrungkuy and Anbangbang Billabong. Following a hearty breakfast, our journey takes us to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge). A scenic 1 km hike through a paperbark forest, accompanied by some rock scrambling, leads us to the inviting plunge pool. Immerse yourself in a refreshing swim in this pristine environment, where the waters team with black bream and barramundi – a truly unique experience. Then onto Gunlom falls in the southern end of Kakadu where the panoramic views from the naturally occuring infinity pools provide an epic photo opportunity. The beach and bottom plunge pool provide an excellent location for some afternoon relaxation. After 3 jam packed but exhausting days We travel back to Darwin with a final stop off at the historic town of Pine creek before arriving in Darwin at approximately 5.30pm ending our Kakadu tour.
