This is the ultimate Top End adventure, taking advantage of special access permits and local connections. Cross the East Alligator River into Arnhem Land and join a local indigenous guide as you learn about the areas rich history and cultural significance. Then return to Kakadu and Litchfield to see all the big sights as well as a few hidden gems.

Itinerary
Prepare for an enriching day of cultural immersion, time to head east on the Arnhem Highway reaching the Corroboree Billabong on the Mary River for the Corrobboree Billabong Cruise where we will get the chance to see some of the local crocs and diverse birdlife. After lunch it is time to engage 4WD and traverse the croc-infested East Alligator River through Cahill’s Crossing.
Continue to the border of Kakadu and Arnhem Land where our Bininj guide will teach us about the cultural importance of the West Arnhem Land region before taking us to restricted cultural areas visited by the indigenous people for thousands of years. Our day of immersion is topped off with a powered tent camp in Kakadu.

We start day 2 with an epic walk through monsoon forest and over boulders to the magnificent Jim Jim Falls, an icon of Kakadu. Our early morning walk is met with a rewarding swim in the clear waters beneath the falls.
We will the carry on to Anbangbang, another incredible site that features ancient art on what was originally Warramal land. Sadly, there are no surviving Warramal people, so the care of the site is maintained by the neighbouring Mirarr and Djok communities.
The day is finished by an optional flight over the stunning Kakadu national park alternatively a visit to the Bowli Cultural Centre. finishing with another powered tent camp.

Settling into the swing of Tour life we will begin our day with either Gunlom Falls or Maguk (Barramundi Gorge). Maguk is a steep majestic Gorge with the reward of a dip in the natural plunge pool. While the steep climb to the Gunlom Falls plunge pool boasts sweeping views of Kakadu. Neither option will disappoint.
On the route to Nitmiluk National Park we will stop off in the old gold-mining town of Pine Creek for lunch. eventually ariving the private camp site on the doorstep of Nitmiluk National Park for dinner with the group and a magical night under the stars.

After a well earned sleep its time to explore Nitmiluk National Park with its waterfalls, wildlife and ancient rock art. Here there is an optional cruise that takes you down Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge for further exploration of the area.
Ater Nitmiluk its time to explore Edith falls with a relaxing swim in the main pool for those needing a rest or a hike up to the second pool where a scramble over granite boulders leads you to a pristine pool underneath the mighty edith falls. The nights camp is situated on the edge of Litchfield National Park.
Katherine Gorge Scenic Cruise – from AUD 129

Finishing off our 3 day tour with a visit to the stunning Litchfield national park, Wonder through the tropical rainforest strewn with crystal clear swimming holes and powerful waterfalls it is easy to see why Litchfield National Park is such a locals favourite.
Visiting some of the locals top spots for hiking and swimming we will stop in at Buley Rockhole’s, Florence Falls and Wangi Falls. Finally finishing off with a short 2 hour drive back to Darwin.
